Young and Old

In September, the oldest and youngest members of the family celebrated birthdays. Andrew thought we wer a little strange when singing to him but enjoyed the cake! My Dad turned 94 and enjoyed his cake too!

Camping in Door County

We went to Door County last weekend to camp at Peninsula State Park. Took Isaac with for the first night. Then his little buddy came up and they played at the beach for awhile before leaving.
A boy can never have enough diggers!
Andrew wanted to be in the lake but we weren't sure how much algae he could drink without getting sick so he had to play in the sand.

Did a little kayaking in the bay.

Megan came up for a night and we took a drive to the tip of Door County


Perfect weather the entire weekend!

Picnic

My dad wanted to have a campfire and roast marshmallows. I figured if, 94 that's what he wanted, we should do it. Had all the parents and Matt and Mandi here. Should do more of that during our short summers!

The boys are back!

Tara and Lee and boys are here for a week so we've had fun playing trucks, 4 wheeling and swimming!

Barn wedding

A friend from work got married a couple weeks ago in a little old barn. It was a cute setting with a cute couple!

Duluth--Day 3

Today we went to split rock lighthouse and did the tour.


Wandered around Gooseberry Falls. Barb made me pose for this picture--things don't change much when you grow up with that big sister thing!
We found a secluded beach and had a picnic and sat by the water for a couple hours--awesome!

Duluth--Day 2

Went to the Glensheen Mansion. This was my 4th time but I still enjoy it and learn something new each time.

This is my favorite part of the place, the garden and patio in the back of the house overlooking the lake. I would love to live there for a summer!

Duluth--Day 1

Am making a sister trip to Duluth this week. Has been fun people watching, shopping relaxing and eating by the big lake. This is the view from our hotel.
The young studs and studesses jump from this big, old cement structure.

Got to watch a big ship go under the lift bridge shortly after we got to Canal Park.
I keep trying to fit under this bridge each time I come---maybe by the time I'm 80!

Wedding!

My nephew got married on June 23rd. I have to say I have never seen a groom who never stopped smiling through the entire day! Congrats Tanner and Katie!

Family

Was so blessed to spend the weekend with my three girls. The time is always too short. Tried to get a family picture of Tara and Lee's family but hard to find a time when they are all in the same place and awake so have to settle for separates!
