Thanksgiving

Another Thanksgivng has come and gone and with it, all the relatives! I am thankful I have a family who all gets along and can be together a few days without any turmoil. I know there are alot of people who can't say that. We had 16 extra people in and out over the weekend and all went well! Of course the only one I seemed to take pics of was Isaac! Hope you all had a great holiday and are ready to do it again in 3 weeks!

Happy Birthday!

Isaac turned ONE on the 16th so we had a little party for him on Sat. with ice cream cake! He's so cute!

Big Hunt

Here's Matt with his 6 pt. buck he shot last weekend--it seems to be sticking it's tongue out at me! I'm glad the season is done today so I can take the dogs out for a walk without wearing orange and getting dirty looks from the hunters!

Today I finished helping my parents clean the old house. Came home and took a cozy nap, baked scones and coffee cake. Should probably clean my own house now--maybe tomorrow! I've been on prednisone for some weird rash and it gets me a bit wired so it's nice to have the extra energy but not the jitters. It was a gloomy afternoon, but then God blessed us with another beautiful sunset! Only another month til the days start getting longer again!

Strange and quirky

This is Sophie cuddling with a few of her favorite things. Lately she has been having some psych issues and feels the need to be very possessive of things, especially my shoes. So now we not only sleep with two dogs, but also a shoe, leash, stuffed pig or whatever she is attatched to that nite. But her weirdness is what makes me love her so much!!

Birthday

I celebrated my 52nd birthday this last week--still having a bit of a problem with
the 50's but it's better than the alternative! Got these flowers from Matt and Mandy-
thanks guys! Watched a DVD by myself so I didn't need to watch the election results
all night.

old friends

My sister came and spent a few days. We went to visit Pat, her friend
from Jr. High and high school. We get together with her about every
3 or 4 years and catch up.

Sister, Barb. She never did listen to Mom, especially when told that stripes and polka dots don't go together!

Dad

We spent time again Sat finishing the big move for my parents. This is my dad resting in the last chair (an antique) by the last table (from Taiwan). It's good to have the job done and I think they are adapting to the change quite well other that losing alot of things!

Fire

right--he was disappointed it wasn't bigger. No we didn't roast marshmellows!

Parents

It's been awhile since I've been on here, due to the fact that we moved my parents from their big old house to a duplex in Amery. It was basically like a swarm of locusts came in and moved everything out! I think they kinda felt that way too but it was time to downsize due to their health and age and TOO much STUFF. Still have alot of small stuff to sort thru and cleaning to due but they are getting settled in slowly.

Tim and I spent the day out getting the yard ready for the big chill. This is his latest invention to aid with leaf clean-up. We have an acre of oak trees so it's a huge job and he's always looking for ways to make it easier. Remember when we used to rake? It was a beautiful day to be outside!

Farming

How many men does it take to supervise windrowing cornstalks? I guess three! This is
