Beans and Osprey

Been picking lots of green beans, peppers, and tomatoes from my garden. This is my first attempt at veggies and it's going quite well!

There are two osprey nests on our work property. I enjoy watching the parents and new babes as I drive in and out of work each day. There were 3 new kids this year!

Boating

My nephew, Tyler, brought his boat camping last weekend. Isaac got his first boat ride and the kids had fun tubing and skiing. I enjoyed just cruising the lake.

Camping

When the kids were little, we used to take my 4 and my sister's 4 camping each summer. I thought it would be fun to get the gang together again now that they are all young adults. They all made it and it was a good time. We had 19 people and 2 dogs!

Things I learned from my grandson:
Fruit snacks is one of the food groups.
6:30 am is a great time to start the day (NOT!)
You don't haul grass in a manly dump trucks-only rocks and dirt.
You can never play enough baseball

We had Isaac last week and, although I was shot, it was so much fun. I remember once again why we have kids when we are young! My butt never got to stay in the chair for more than 5 minutes. Both Tim and I felt the emptiness after we took him home--his little presence filled the house.

Critters!

We have had a great summer with plenty of rain this year--the first in many years. I was so excited to see all my plants growing so great. BUT, along with the rain, seems to have come many more critters. The deer and rabbits are munching on my flowers and new trees. And this morning my bird feeder was completely tipped over, so the bear must still be present too!
